Raisina Dialogue

The Raisina Dialogue is India’s leading conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, business executives, academics, and media professionals. Hosted annually in New Delhi, it serves as a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue on pressing global challenges and opportunities, fostering collaboration and exploring solutions to shape the future of international relations and governance.

Official theme for Raisina Dialogue 2022

 

The theme for the Raisina Dialogue 2022 was “Terranova – Impassioned; Impatient; Imperilled,” reflecting the critical global realities of the time. The event’s design centred around “The Third Eye,” symbolising the ability to look beyond surface-level perceptions. Representing a bridge between external and internal realities, the eye captured the political and economic landscape of 2021-22 as the world emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The open eye also symbolised life and intelligence, echoing the gathering of global political and economic leaders on one prestigious platform. To further enhance this theme, the design elements were carefully developed to illustrate dual realities, offering a sense of resilience and stability through thoughtful colour choices and visuals.

 

This design approach reinforced the Dialogue’s focus on insightful, forward-thinking discussions, making it a striking representation of the event’s mission to address global challenges with clarity and vision.

 

 

The inaugural Raisina Dialogue, launched by the Prime Minister of India and the President of the EU, marked the beginning of a major global platform for exchanging knowledge on political, economic, and military topics. With nearly 100 sessions and influential speakers in the realm of geopolitics, this event, hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in collaboration with India’s Ministry of External Affairs, garnered significant attention both on-site and across media platforms.

 

The event also sparked a strong presence in digital media, amplifying its global reach. Given the gravity of the discussions, the design for the event needed to reflect its serious tone, focusing on individual and event-centred elements. The visual approach was crafted to maintain the event’s solemnity while conveying its significance as a key platform for global dialogue.

 

 

Our theme for this year, “Terra Nova: Impassioned, Impatient, and Imperilled,” seeks to interrogate our responses to all three watersheds. We endeavour to discover how we find ourselves on a planet that looks and feels nothing like the one that saw us gather in these very rooms to debate at Raisina 2020.

Designing for Raisina Dialogue 2022 required creating a scalable visual system adaptable across event platforms. The colour palette, derived from ORF’s brand identity, was expanded with a complementary secondary palette to reflect the event’s theme. Gradient-based visuals were used to convey depth and seriousness, highlighting the global importance of diplomacy and democracy. The design placed knowledge at the centre, using cohesive visual elements to enhance the event’s narrative and ensure consistency across applications.

 

Extensively covered by international media, the event reached millions worldwide, amplifying its influence. The approach set a new benchmark for political events in India, demonstrating how strategic, high-quality visuals can elevate an event’s impact and appeal on a global stage.
